Antique rosewood dish

This is another find from The Green Ant, a beautiful solid rosewood dish I'm using to display Christmas candy. When I was a kid we used to drive to Nashville two or three times a year to see my mother's best friend, Carolyn, and we loved staying at her house because she always had huge jars and bowls of M&M's sitting on the counters. One of the first things I did when we bought our first house was stock a giant jar full of candy because I always want people to know that when they visit they're going to be greeted by treats. So when the holidays are over this thing will be filled with regular M&M's, and my best friend Carol will comment that she hates coming over because of all the candy taunting her from the tabletops.

  • Hugs and kisses to you, too! RT: @Monkey_Tree: @dooce he probably committed suicide because he was tired of LISTENING TO YOU WHINE.
  • Our fish just died. And I'm sitting here crying. And it wasn't even my fault!
