Sweet potato fries

For dinner last night we cut up two sweet potatoes into thick slices, brushed them with a little bit of olive oil, and sprinkled them with ground pepper and kosher salt. After 35 minutes in the oven they were ready to eat with a large side of steamed broccoli. I was worried that they'd be bland without something savory to dip them into, but OH MY GOD, where have you been, you delicious, naughty sweet potato? So far this was the best tasting thing I've had on the cleanse, and I could eat this meal every day, it was that incredible. No matter what happens after the cleanse we'll be having sweet potatoes just like this at least once or twice a week, and I'm feeling so optimistic today that I think Leta might even like them. And if she doesn't then there's just more for me.

  • Hugs and kisses to you, too! RT: @Monkey_Tree: @dooce he probably committed suicide because he was tired of LISTENING TO YOU WHINE.
  • Our fish just died. And I'm sitting here crying. And it wasn't even my fault!
