Since I can't physically help any of the victims of the Asian earthquake and tsunami, and since I'm sitting here surrounded by my family and a house and cars and electronic devices and clean water -- my God, how much I take for granted -- I am going to do what I can to help my fellow humans in need. Dooce.com is pledging all of the revenue from the Google Adsense program for the month of January to the American Red Cross.

The world reached out to us when we were struck by tragedy in 2001. I want to be one of the Americans who reaches out to them.
Those of you who are suffering and who have lost that which is dearest to you, I hold you in my heart.
