Chuckacabra

Be afraid. Be very, very afraid. Of the puppy.
A while ago Jon created a CHUCKACABRA desktop available for download here. It's pretty awesome.

But that biting thing made me think: did you know that Komodo dragons kill their prey by just BITING them, and there's so much bacteria in their mouth that the wound gets infected and kills the prey later?

We used to have a cranky, old blue heeler that made that face at the other dogs. No noise, just snarl. But, she had broken most of her front teeth off years earlier, so it was a bit more disturbing in a jaggedy teeth kind of way...
79. michele said:
Please do post it if you find out how to take away the green eyed effect. I have one dog with a red eye in pics (she has one blue eye, one brown) and my other pup gets green eyes in pictures. While it's very festive at Christmas, they both end up looking evil.

I'm not a big fan of AWESOME either, Harv, but let's not be adjective censors. Anyhow, what you don't want us doing is succumbing, not succombing. You want us to not suc CUMB; I would think it really wouldn't matter to you if we'd suc COMB.
As an older mom, somewhere between the ages of Dooce and the AWSL, I really can't endorse telling mom to SUCK IT; but I strongly suspect that the "she could barely hear me" part is a significant detail in that story . . .

You refuse to put anything before your pride
I got something that will knock all your pride aside

Tell me that you love me
Tell me something good (tell me, tell me, tell me)
Tell me that you like it, yeah
Got no time is what you're known to say

Problem is you ain't been loved like you should
What I got to give will sure 'nuff do you good

There was this couple that had been married for 20 years.
Every time they made love the husband always insisted on shutting off
the light.
Well, after 20 years the wife felt this was ridiculous.
She figured she would break him out of this crazy habit.
So one night, while they were in the middle of a wild, screaming,
romantic session, she turned on the lights.
She looked down... and saw her husband was holding a battery-operated
pleasure device... a vibrator!
Soft, wonderful and larger than a real one.
She went completely ballistic.
"You impotent bastard," She screamed at him, "how could you be lying to
me all of these years?
You better explain yourself!"
The husband looks her straight in the eyes and says calmly:
"I'll explain the toy . . . you explain the kids."

Your creativity and humor has even inspired me to start writing in my own blog again. Leta is a lucky kid. Heather I have a little story for you. My son has Down Syndrome and at 1 mo old fell ill with group b strep and spinal menengitis sending him through this downward spiral of events. He had 5 strokes and was bagged (nurse breathing for him) 3 times and then put on life support. He had no brain waves and was on full life support for 5 days.. He lost 1/3 of his brain. My baby boy is also Blind and has to be on seizure meds. Now he is 5 mo old and is doing great he is the light of my life.. My older sister and mother told me about your site at Chritmas time. You have been in my life ever since. You need to know that you make me smile when I don't really want to smile. Leta trys her damn hardest to pull tears out of a 26 yr old new mom with a baby with so many struggles and joys ahead. I thought I had none left. Wow she waves you are truely blessed.. I can't wait to write you and tell you my baby Stratton waved.... Love

I'm so excited for Leta's first wave! When I read that I kind of exploded inside. I actually witnessed a kid's first wave once - and her mom wasn't even there to see it. When I told her mom, she kind of went into denial that she wasn't there to see it. I'm glad you got to see it! yay!

This of course has NOTHING to do with Chuck and his scary teeth, and it might be pushing towards unsolicited advice.... BUT If she has started waving bye bye, Leta might start the "itsy Bitsay Spider" thing.... I am a nanny and I've noticed that as soon as they get that waving thing down they start to LOOOOVE it when you sing Itsy Bitsy..... The 14 month old i watch currently will walk up to me with her hands together and twist them in her immitation of the spider in her little way of BEGGING me to sing it, I love it, I love it.... of course half way through she forgets that 5 seconds ago she thought this was cool and she moves on to watch the wiggles or to bite her sister.
I love my job.
