Keep it to the knees, please!

Posters about modesty and grooming standards for students at BYU (oops, I think I might have killed their server)

Oh dear.

A reader named Jenny sent me a link to this Flickr photo which then led to some bad memories and a little bit of digging, and that's when I found the website for the BYU Student Honor Association. Some of these posters are so condescending, so patronizing, that you'll have a hard time believing they are real, particularly the one featuring Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. When I was at BYU I would have loved to have cartoon turtles call me "dude" and remind me that "piercings aren't acceptable, bro!" Would have brought me closer to Jesus.

Heather talks about overcoming depression on today's Momversation.

  • @TheHeatherB Royksopp, their latest is perfect for upping your heartrate.
  • Babies who wake up at 4AM should be forced to push a handcart through Iowa in winter with her pregnant sister wives. And sing as she walks!
  • Leta: "STOP FOLLOWING ME, COCO!" I wonder where she picked up that exclamation.
